Etching ink drawdown plates

When you’re mixing intaglio ink, it’s hard to judge a blend from the glass or from a drawdown card. Ink one of these plates, wipe and print it, and you’ll see the blend’s hue and coverage at six different amounts on one strip of paper.

Print several blends side by side to compare them, and write each recipe in the margin so you can mix it again.
