On this page we will be selling multiple small sample/test photogravure plates so you can see what is capable with our plate service. The first sample plate is photographic in nature. Others will include photographs utilizing different tonal variations, line drawings, charcoal reproduction, etc.
PHOTOGRAPVURE SAMPLE PLATES
Prints on Paper Studio is pleased to announce our new photogravure sample plate. This first of many different sample plates shows you the line detail and tonal separation capable in photogravure. The image is a 48 megapixel shot with the plate capable of resolving 720ppi of smooth resolution in the final print. We calibrated this plate using a house blend of ink: 4.5 parts Graphic Chemical Bone Black, 4.5 parts Charbonnel 55981, 2 parts Zeamays Transparent Base, and a dab of EasyWipe
